After years of tasting, writing and promoting Rhone varietal wines in California the UC Press reached out to ask me to write the book about it, American Rhône: How Maverick Winemakers Changed the Way Americans Drink, is a history of that that movement and features some of California’s most colorful, innovative and creative winemaking talent. The book was published in October, 2016 by the University of California Press.

It was shortlisted for the Andre Simon Book Awards and the Louis Roederer International Wine Writer Book of the Year Award.
